Rights and Obligations Wanita Dalam Islam
This application contains information about women in the perspective of Islam, one of which is about the rights and also the obligation of all Muslim women.
What are the rights?
Equality of women and men
In Islam the position of women and men is the same, in accordance with the obligations and rights set by the Shari'a. A famous mufassir as well as Indonesia's pride, the late Prof. Dr. Hamka (d. 1981) In his book the position of women in Islam (Jakarta: Pustaka Panjimas, 1996. This book was reprized by Gema Insani with the title Buya Hamka Talking about Women, 2014) when explaining QS. An-Nisā '[4]: 1 stated beautifully, "In this verse combined between males and females, met between men and women. They were made aware that even though they were separated, they were essentially one. " (Prof. Dr. Hamka, the position of women in Islam, 3; and Buya Hamka talked about women, 4).
Women's inheritance rights
Among the glory of women is they have the right to get an inheritance. And this right has been determined by Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala. In the Koran, especially in the Surah of Women: Sūrah An-Nisā '. This surah speaks specifically about women's rights related to inheritance rights (Mawārīts) (QS. An-Nisā '[4]: 11-13).
Women and the right to study
Women have other privileges, namely: the right to study. This is the other side of its majesty. And the right to study for women in Islam does not discriminate whether she is an independent woman or a slave. In one history of Abū Burdah it is stated that the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wassallam. said, "Anyone who has one female slave and then he teaches knowledge and is the best manners. Then, he was independent and married him so he got two rewards. "
According to Islam, science is indeed a fundamental right that should not be eliminated. Because one community will not progress because of food, drinks, clothing, and places to live. Because this is all material rights. There must be a meaningful and spiritual right, namely science. And life is not possible to go well without this. That is why the heart, spirit, and reason must continue to be "rejuvenated" with knowledge.
In Islamic history, special education for women has been practiced by the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wassallam. Where he took a special haris to teach women. Besides specifically he educates the mothers of his wives (ummahāt al-mu'minīn). (See, Sheikh Muhammad al-Ghazālī, Dr. Muhammad Sayyid ṭanṭāwī, and Dr. Ahmad 'Umar Hāsyim, Al-Mar'ah Fī al-Islām (Cairo: Maṭbaʻah Akhbār al-Yaum, 1991: 87).
That is a little description of the position of women in Islam. He was so noble because of the presence of Islam. And for Muslims Islam is the only religion that gives such high rights to women. Because Islam is not a religion of discrimination against gender because God has divided each other's rights and obligations so beautifully. Wallāhu aʻlam bi al-ṣawāb.*
Hopefully with this application we can increase our faith in Allah SWT. Amen
