iRx is an elearning tool for undergraduate and postgraduate healthcare students.

iRx is an electronic learning tool for undergraduate and postgraduate healthcare professionals for use on smartphones and tablets. It has been designed to help students develop their knowledge and understanding of how to use medicines safely and effectively. It does this by providing users with the means to record information about key medicines (such as the clinical therapeutics and the underpinning basic science) under clear, easy to remember ‘BRAINS and AIMS’ headings. The information can be recorded in a number of ways: free text, images, web links and voice recordings. The app contains a student formulary of over 200 commonly prescribed medicines based on the evidence-based list published by Baker et al. iRx has been developed jointly by the Institute of Pharmaceutical Science and the School of Medicine of King's College London, in partnership with King’s Health Partners’ Pharmaceutical Sciences Clinical Academic Group.
