Taking Care of Dementia Patients And Their Environment
Description
The dementia-App helps as many people with dementia as possible as well as his or her immediate environment. But above all helps promote social involvement and contributes to the quality of life.
The expectation is that people with a form of dementia can continue to live at home longer if they are adequately supported by technology and informal care.
The dementia-App is a new digital care product that can become the basic application to support the current physical form of aid between caregivers and people with dementia.
The dementia-App provides the following 6 functions:
- Screensaver Function:
The dementia-App always starts in a screensaver mode, so that you can always see immediately what day it is, the time and whether activities take place on that day.
- My day function:
People with dementia can touch the screen at any time to see what they have for activities that day. Activities that have been no longer visible, which means that no doubt can arise.
- Agenda Function:
Through the agenda function, appointments and/or memories can be put in the agenda of people with dementia remotely. Possibly via a confirmation you can see for yourself whether the agenda report has been observed.
- Logbook Function:
Through the log function, family members, friends but also the case manager or extramural care can keep each other informed about their daily experience with people with dementia.
-Contact function:
In the contact overview you can reach your caregiver by image calling him or her. You can also leave a message here.
- Photo album Function:
In the digital photo album, precious photos can be placed on a timeline and possibly with musical fragments. This is possible both remotely and on the device of people with dementia.
- Memory games function:
It is possible to play various memory games. Not only 'on your lap' when you are visiting but also through the image bubbles function. The people with dementia can also occasionally only play a game.
