This is the ad-supported version of Cheap Meds.
CheapMeds was created by a young US physician who saw a willingness among his patients to take a greater role in the managment of their healthcare needs, but suffered from a lack of access to adequate resources to achieve time- and cost-savings. The purpose of this app is to enable healthcare consumers to find cheap, readily-available generic medications. Using the "$4 Meds" allows many consumers to bypass insurance companies all together.
This app contains a database of the $4 and other low-cost generic medications. These medications are available at pharmacies with a "$4 plan", such as Wal-Mart or Kroger. Other pharmacies may have a similar plan that may be more or less cost effective. In the future, more drugs and a more detailed pricing scheme will be implemented in this app.
This app does not endorse a specific commercial pharmacy, but does provide search capability for nearby pharmacies that provide the generic medications listed here.
